Join this information session to learn more about the University of Chester’s Sanctuary Award. Sessions are open to anyone who may be interested in applying, those supporting someone through the process, or anyone who would simply like to learn more.

The Sanctuary Award is our scholarship programme for people from sanctuary-seeking backgrounds who are currently unable to access public funds to enter higher education. It provides a full tuition fee waiver together with a tailored package of support to help students thrive at university.

During the session, University staff will:

  • Provide an overview of the application process
  • Explain the support available to award holders
  • Be on hand to answer questions from both prospective applicants and supporters

Applications for the University of Chester’s Sanctuary Award (2026 entry) will open in January 2026, available from our webpage.
