International students, as a continuously growing community, have brought multi-faceted opportunities to the UK Higher Education, and challenges at the same time. Through my daily teaching practices, I have observed some phenomenon which make me wonder what motivates our students to come to study here and what we can do to better motivate them during their time with us. This leads to my research topic - how to better motivate our international students through the lens of psychological contract and motivation theories, with a focus on post-graduate taught students and business schools in the UK.
