Debbie Ravenscroft

Dr Debbie Ravenscroft is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education as part of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Social sciences and Education at the University of Chester.

She provides teaching, planning and assessment across a range of Undergraduate programmes including Early Childhood Studies and is the Programme leader for the Early Childhood & Primary Education single honours degree. At Postgraduate level, Deb teaches and assesses on the MA Early Childhood and the PGCERT Attachment, Trauma & Mental Health.

Deb is the Childhood, Education & Professional Development safeguarding Lead and acts as link tutor to students undertaking a Foundation year.

Dr Ravenscroft has undertaken doctoral research in to how young children manage their grief following the death of a sibling told through the narratives of their mothers. She has particular interest in the social and emotional wellbeing of young children.
