Gethin Foulkes

Gethin is a Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education (ITE) department in the School of Education. He is the strategic lead for mentor development in ITE, and leads the mentor development team. He also leads the Mentoring and Coaching in Education (MACIE) research interest group with Dr Luke Jones.

Before working at Chester, Gethin was a Lecturer in the Sport Science Department at Edge Hill University, a Lecturer at Llandrillo College and a Lecturer at Wirral Met College. Gethin’s PhD thesis is focused in the area of Primary Physical Education and is supervised by Dr Luke Jones.

Gethin teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the in the School of Education as well as supervising MA dissertation students. He also works with established teachers delivering CPD and mentor training as part of the mentor development team.
