I am originally from Northern Ireland and as such, I have a complex approach to the theme of identity as it relates to heritage, national pride and religion. I joined the University of Chester full time teaching in January 2011 but prior to that I had been teaching here part time alongside teaching at University of Salford, Staffordshire University and SERC in Northern Ireland.

I work across disciplines at the University as media based work straddles dance, drama and pop music, albeit in different ways. Working in this way, I have experience of and am able to teach and work with students from all disciplines.

My teaching focuses on the integration of digital technology in performance in a way that it is integral and not supplemental, thus opening up new avenues of working in the respective fields.
