Dr John Morrow
Senior Lecturer, Co-Director of the Forum for Research into Equality and DiversityJohn joined the law school as an undergraduate student, he has completed his degree and PhD within the department. John’s PhD is entitled ‘Law students with Dyslexia and their experience of academic assessment’, it reviews the implications of equality law for students with Dyslexia alongside an exploration of their experience within legal education.
John is the programme leader for the LLM law. He teaches on a range of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level. His focus is on Constitutional and Administrative law, with specialism in Human Rights and Education Law.
John has undertaken consultancy and training for companies within the north west and within the charitable sector with a particular focus on Education Law for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
John is chair of Governors for a local school.
John teaches across a range of modules, with a particular focus on constitutional law and discrimination law at undergraduate and post graduate level:

- Discrimination Law (Level 6)
- Employment and Discrimination Law (Level 7)
His present research and work focuses on the following areas:

- Dyslexia and discrimination law
- Higher Education and Dyslexia
- Assessment in Higher Education
- Sexual harassment and employment
Supervision proposals
He would welcome enquiries from those wishing to read for a PhD degree in the area of discrimination law, especially in relation to his research areas.
