Professor Sujeet Jaydeokar
Visiting Professor
Professor Sujeet Jaydeokar is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and is also the national Executive Committee of the faculty for intellectual disability psychiatry of the Royal College of Psychiatrists as a Finance Officer. He has been working in the field of Intellectual Disabilities and Autism for many years. His particular areas of interest are in Service Development and the phenomenological aspects of Autism.
Professor Jaydeokar is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychiatry of Intellectual Disabilities at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and works with East and South Cheshire Community Learning Disability Team. He is the operational Clinical Director for the Learning Disabilities, Neuro Developmental Disorders, & Acquired Brain Injury Care Group within the Trust. He, along with Dr Mahesh Odiyoor, was instrumental in setting up the Centre for Autism, Neuro Developmental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities (CANDDID) and is the operational Clinical Director of the Centre; the Centre was set up to promote academic developments in the areas of Autism, Neurodevelopmental Disorders, and Intellectual Disabilities. He leads on the research and post-graduate elements of CANDDID and the care group.
