Dr Carmel Edwards

Following on from her PhD, based on Emotional Intelligence, Carmel became a full-time applied practitioner at Everton Football Club. Carmel’s role focused predominantly on the areas of player wellbeing and sport psychology. After eight years at Everton FC Carmel joined the Department and is now both a Senior Lecturer and Area Leader for Sport and Exercise Psychology. Carmel currently contributes to teaching across both the undergraduate and postgraduate programs for which the Sport and Exercise Sciences (SES) Department are responsible for.

 Carmel teaches on the following modules

  • Applied Sport Psychology (Level 6)

  • Applied Sports Psychology – Practitioner Skill Development (MSc)

Carmel also supervises dissertations at Level 6 and is currently supervising Rebecca Pentith's PhD.
