Richard Silvioli

I recently started as a Lecturer in Clinical Sciences and Nutrition at the University of Chester following 25 years of career as a Dietitian in the NHS. I have covered a wide variety of positions during my years as a Dietitian, and recently decided to complete a Masters in Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation, which motivated me to start an academic career and pass on the wealth of knowledge and experience I have acquired in clinical dietetics throughout my career, in order to improve the future generations of Dietitians.

I also have a keen interest in research, which has led me to successfully secure a PhD position at the University of Chester (Start planned for February 2024). I am a keen, enthusiastic hard-working person who loves food, nutrition and academia. I look forward to completing my PhD to enable me to pursue my research interests and continue to teach / educate future generations of Dietitians to positively influence UK's health-related nutrition in the years to come.
