My career in healthcare began in 2004 as a Healthcare Assistant in a local Community Hospital. I qualified as a Nurse in 2016 and have worked both in the Acute and Community sectors within Shropshire. My most recent post was as a Community Diabetes Specialist Nurse.

I joined the University of Chester in 2021- as a Lecturer in Acute Adult Care.

I am Deputy Programme Lead at University Centre Shrewsbury for the Pre-registration Nursing programme.

For 2023/2024 I will be Module Lead for NU6101 Practice Learning and NU4002 Person Centred Care. I also have teaching commitments on HS4004 – Anatomy and Physiology.

I will be facilitating Moving and Handling mandatory training.

My special interests are facilitating simulation across all three years, Diabetes Care and Community Nursing.
