Ursula Roberts QN is senior lecturer and the programme lead for Specialist Community Practice (SPQ) -District Nursing, and has been with the University of Chester since 2022, she has a industrious Nursing career spanning 28 years which included working in NHS senior management, project management, community team leader, district nursing, matron, and surgical nursing.

In Dec 23 Ursula was awarded the Queens Nurse title for education and commitment to community and district nursing. She is a member of the Association of District Nurse and Community Educators (ADNE) and of the Northern Educator collaborative who work on projects across the North of England to improve SPQ student experience and learning.

TEACHING INTERESTS

Ursula is a senior lecturer and programme lead for SPQ District Nursing and module lead for undergraduate Nursing.
Ursula is a member of HEA, she is has been an advisor to the Christie hospital in Manchester UK on research project on Malodourous fungating wounds, and she has participated in a research project with the National University of Singapore on patient care at home.
Currently Ursula has created a an action research project to widen student participation in undergraduate Nursing for students from POLAR 4 Quintile 1 demographic and senior management team in undergraduate Nursing are keen to utilise this project for students.
