Learning Disability Nursing BN (Hons)

Tom Cafferty

"You get to know the lecturers really well and vice versa, so it gives your learning experience a really personal feel."

I loved worked with people with disabilities in various roles for 6 years, including working  in America for 6 months, and over this time I decided that I wanted to study to become a Learning Disability Nurse.

I really like the set-up of the Learning Disability Nursing course as it is 50% theory and 50% practice so you get the opportunity of putting all the theory into practice and you experience various different settings throughout your practice placements. You also have the opportunity to guide your own learning and experience through speaking whilst in practice.

Once qualified I want to be able to say I enjoy my job and I want to be able to make a difference for people with learning disabilities.
