Jules Barnes
Programme Leader in Software Engineering BSc (Hons); Lecturer
Jules is a former Software Engineer, and committed to delivering cutting edge knowledge and teaching. She is the BSc Software Engineering Programme Leader & a Lecturer within the School of Computer & Engineering Sciences in the Faculty of Science, Business and Enterprise. As a Professional Member of the BCS (British Computer Society) she also has an undergraduate degree (BSc Hons) in Software Development, an MSc in Digital Marketing, is an Associate Fellow of the FHEA, and is currently a PhD student.
Jules teaches undergraduate students in Software Engineering subjects and postgraduate supervision for dissertation students for MSc Data Science and MSc Advanced Computer Science.

Jules' research interests are primarily in UX/UI, HCI, Software Engineering, IOT product development, Sustainability & Environmental Research and how IT can help.
