"Use your university experience and assignments during interviews. You are juggling so many different projects, working to different briefs and meeting different deadlines."
How did your degree at the University of Chester prepare you for your current role?
It covered a lot of different fields, from web and game design, web development, to sound and user experience. Because of this I think I’ve come into a job where I need to be adaptable and I need to be able to do more than just build a website.
Juggling different projects helps when coming to work because instead of having 4 or 5 assignments to do I’ve got 10-20 clients who expect work from me and the team. Therefore, my time management is definitely something I’ve taken from my degree and has helped me a lot with this job.
A huge factor in me getting this job was my portfolio that I created during one of my modules. Being able to use this and go into interviews and have all my work collected over the past few years really helped show employers the vast range of experience I had.
