"Ask as many questions as you can to gain more knowledge. Make as many memories as you can and enjoy the university experience."
How did your degree at the University of Chester prepare you for your current role?
Technical knowledge - enabled me to understand the fundamental principles of programming, including OOP, inheritance, interfaces etc. It all contributed to getting me where I am now in my career and provided a basis for me to continue my development within the IT industry.
Personal development - interpersonal skills, confidence, perspective (and ability to see others) and other general attributes required to be a valued and able team member.
What support did you receive during your degree?
The Science and Engineering Faculty as a whole helped support me, with all lecturers and staff helping in whatever way they could. From Graham Logan making us laugh in all our workshops, to Andrew Muncey, who I would personally like to thank for helping me be the software engineer I am today.
