My experience undertaking the Masters in Wildlife Conservation was really positive. There were numerous opportunities to go on field trips where we could gain hands on experience. In particular I gained knowledge and understanding of various ecological techniques through a trip to Tenerife where we learnt how to catch and hold lizards, identify various bird calls, and use bat detectors. During the course we also had the opportunity to meet individuals in the conservation and ecological sectors. These experiences aided in me achieving my career aspirations to be an ecologist. The lecturers allowed the course to be really personalized and were there to provide guidance and support throughout.
