Due to living just a half an hour drive away I have always loved a day out in Chester! Ever since I was little me and my family and friends have spent lots of time exploring Chester so when I had the opportunity to come to university I had to choose Chester!
My favourite things to do in Chester are going on the peddle boats or rowing boats on the River Dee and having a relaxed walk in the meadows on the other side of the river - this spot is perfect for a picnic. I also love going for food, my favourite places being Hickories, Death by Tacos and Black Sheep Coffee. Chester is a relaxed city full of lots of friendly people and smiley faces. In particular, the outdoor grounds of the Cathedral are stunning!
Me and my friend booked a ghost tour which was so exciting as we wandered around the city in the evening (It was pretty spooky in the dark but that made it even more exciting) and found out about different people’s experiences of witnessing ghosts in Chester.
