Healthcare under the scope at LGBT+ History Month University event in Warrington

The University’s Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is hosting the free event on Wednesday February 28, from 3pm to 5pm, at University Centre Warrington’s Time Square hub. The event can also be watched online.

Invited speakers from the University’s Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society and the LGBT+ Student Society will reflect on the Month’s theme for 2024 of Medicine and Health: #UnderTheScope.

The event will share the real lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual +) people in accessing and receiving healthcare and will explore, from the point of view of healthcare practice, some of the issues and health inequalities many LGBTQIA+ people still face today.
