International teachers enjoy experience of life in Chester high school classroom
International teachers studying at the University of Chester have enjoyed an opportunity to experience how lessons are taught in the UK.

The group of international Master’s in Educational Leadership students recently paid a visit to Queen’s Park High School in Handbridge, accompanied by Dr Steve Lambert, Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of Chester.
Students met assistant headteacher Lisa Phillips and had a tour of the secondary school by two sixth form students. They also visited the classroom, where they were able to experience how lessons are taught in the UK, as well as discuss the work that pupils were doing in those lessons.
Dr Steve Lambert said: “It was a real privilege to take our international colleagues from the MA in Educational Leadership course to Queen’s Park High School, so that they could see first-hand the approaches to teaching and learning that are taken in the UK.
“Visits like these are incredibly valuable, as they help our students compare academic practices in the UK with those in their home countries. Collaborations like this remind us of the power of education to connect people across cultures and borders.”
Queen’s Park High School assistant headteacher Lisa Phillips added: “We were thrilled to welcome the international students to our school. Their enthusiasm to learn was palpable and we their questions and observations really made us think, too!
“It is really exciting to hear about the work the University is doing to share experiences of working in education across the globe.”
