Professor Dame Jenny Harries shares public health expertise with academics

Professor Dame Jenny Harries, Chief Executive of the UK Health Security Agency and Visiting Professor at the University of Chester, gave a presentation to colleagues outlining her thoughts on health protection. 

She was attending a Visiting Professoriate lunch hosted by the University’s Institute of Health and Wellbeing and the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society. 

Professor Dame Jenny delivered the presentation titled ‘If I had a crystal ball?’ to an audience including Vice Chancellor of the University of Chester, Professor Eunice Simmons; Director of the Institute for Health and Wellbeing, Professor Paul Kingston and a host of other Visiting Professors, as well as many from the University itself. 

Professors David Hunter and Paul Lincoln then facilitated a session to discuss the possibilities for visiting colleagues to continue their valued relationship with the University. 

Professor Kingston said: “The event was firstly a thank you to our Visiting Professors for their continuing support for the University of Chester and secondly a thought-provoking session to explore how colleagues can further contribute to the new Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society and Chester Medical School.”
