A level Revision and Study Courses 2025

A female teacher is giving a lecture in classroom.

Following the success of previous events, we are pleased to let you know that our FREE A level Revision offer has returned for 2025.

This year, we are once again offering sessions in a range of subjects including Criminology, English, History, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Religious Studies and Dance.

Visit our website to see which events are confirmed and find out more.

Events are a mixture of in-person and online taster study days, specific revision days and workshops. Many will also be suitable for students studying Level 3 diplomas (particularly Criminology).

Students or groups can request a space on as many of the events as they wish.

Most events are aimed specifically at Year 13 to prepare for summer 2025 examinations; however, we do welcome Year 12 students who wish to get ahead in their studies and to encourage enjoyment of the subject.

This link takes you to our website central event page where you can then access individual event pages for the different subjects on offer (under schools and colleges).

Applying as an individual – Complete this application form to request a place on the event(s) of your choice.

Applying to bring a group – Complete this form and a member of Outreach will get back to you

Several events have a limited capacity – completing the application form does not guarantee a place. We may need to operate a waiting list if over-subscribed.

For further information on any of these events please contact Isabel in the Outreach team.

We particularly encourage applications from students in the following, most under-represented groups with regards to progression to higher education:

  • Those living in areas of low higher education participation (POLAR4 which can be searched here) or from lower household income or socioeconomic status backgrounds (English Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) which can be searched here)
  • Black, Asian and minority ethnic students (BAME);
  • Mature students (over 21);
  • Disabled students (those in receipt of DSA and those who have declared a disability but are not in receipt of DSA);
  • Care leavers/Estranged students;
  • First generation to attend university;
  • Military Service children.

We hope that these sessions will support students with their current studies whilst also giving a boost to progression into Higher Education in the future.

If you have any questions or would like further information about these revision and study courses or other support that the University of Chester can provide to your school or college, please get in touch via email.
