Frequently asked questions

The location of your Visit Day will depend on which subject(s) you are interested in, as we have several different sites across Chester, Warrington and Birkenhead. By selecting your subject(s) of interest on the Visit Day booking page, you will be directed to the correct information for where you need to register on the day. If you are attending a Visit Day in Chester and need to see more than one of our teaching sites, transport between sites will be available on the day.

Attending these events gives you a chance to see the campus facilities along with meeting academic staff from your chosen subject area. Anyone who is considering applying to Chester through clearing is welcome to attend the events. We are also welcoming firm and insurance offer holders, who wish to visit before September.

Each department will be running a subject session and tour of their academic facilities during the day, as well as activities such as campus tours and visiting support services at the information fair. There will be plenty of time to fit everything in. We will also email you a schedule prior to the event so you can plan your visit.

Yes, you are welcome to bring guests with you to the Visit Day. You don't need to make a separate booking for your guests; simply indicate the number of people you wish to accompany you when you are booking your place.

Chester

Free parking will be available at our Exton Park site in Chester, where you will register at the start of the Visit Day. If your course is based at one of our other Chester sites (Wheeler, Queen’s Park, or Creative Campus, Kingsway), you will have the opportunity to travel to your learning site after the activities at Exton Park. Ample parking is available at Queen’s Park and Creative Campus, Kingsway, but please note that parking at Wheeler is limited. A shuttle bus will be available between all sites.

Warrington

There is pay and display parking available near our Time Square and Sarah Parker Remond House sites.

There is limited visitor parking available at Marriss House. Directions will be sent via email ahead of the Visit Day.

If you’re no longer able to attend, please email visitus@chester.ac.uk and let us know that you wish to cancel your booking, along with the email address you used to book your place. We will then email you to confirm we have cancelled your place.
