"Chester's welcoming atmosphere, its friendly and warm people, and the striking architecture make it feel like a home away from home. "
I chose to study in the UK to broaden my horizon, as the UK is renowned for its exceptional education system, world-class universities, and a supportive environment that fosters personal growth and development.
Since joining the University of Chester, I have immersed myself in the Water Polo and Swimming Club. I did play water polo years ago before coming to the UK, but joining the University of Chester gave me the opportunity to rekindle my passion for the sport.
I love that the teams feel like a family, with teammates who are incredibly supportive and share a deep connection. When my international friend and I were going to be alone for Christmas in Chester, the club members generously invited us to their homes to celebrate the holiday. That warm and welcoming experience is still fresh in my memory and this sense of belonging is what I appreciate most about the club.
Being part of these clubs has also been extremely helpful in learning how to navigate the differences in UK culture.
I thoroughly enjoy visiting the captivating historical sites of Chester, such as the ancient city walls and the magnificent Chester Cathedral. I love socialising with friends at the lively university SU bar, attending vibrant cultural events, and participating in exciting university gatherings.
Chester's welcoming atmosphere, its friendly and warm people, and the striking architecture make it feel like a home away from home. The city's beautiful natural surroundings, efficient public transportation, and vibrant cultural scene have made my time here truly enjoyable.
Additionally, the close relationships I've formed have made my experience exceptional, as they have provided me with a supportive network of friends who feel like family.
