Pandora’s Inbox is an online magazine that throughout the year publishes flash fictions, poems and drama extracts/sketches. It is edited by Dr Ashley Chantler. Here you'll find The Inbox and how to submit.
Pandora's Box
Pandora’s Box is an annual print magazine that publishes the best pieces from Pandora’s Inbox. It is edited by a student team with Dr Chantler. Here you'll find the Pandora's Box Archive and the Professor Derek Alsop Prize for Creative Writing.
Open-Mic Nights
Pandora’s Box runs popular open-mic nights on the Exton Park Campus, hosted by Dr Graham Atkin and the latest student editors. The nights are for current students who want to read out their flash fictions, poems, or drama extracts/sketches, or just listen to what other students have written.
The nights are informal and fun. Bring along whatever you want to drink and nibble. Details of forthcoming open-mics will be emailed to current students, so keep an eye on your inbox.
In 2024-25, the student team is Rachel Cheeseman, Sophia Edwards and Maisy Shaw.
C.E.L.L Mates
C.E.L.L Mates, the Chester English Language and Literature Magazine, is a space for students and staff to share their knowledge, passions, likes and dislikes on everything from books to box sets, poetry to politics, and myths to music.
