Biography

Abigail joined Chester Medical School as a Haematology Lecturer. Abigail is currently completing her PhD in the field of biomarkers predictive of clinical outcome in chronic myeloid leukaemia where she has presented her projects internationally. Abigail oversees CMS's social media presence, actively sharing inspiring student success stories, important school news updates and more.

Teaching and Supervision

Abigail teaches topics in Heamatology and biochemsitry, on a clinical and theoretical basis. Abigail challenges students' creativity, ingenuity, and analytical abilities through assessments and case-based reasoning methods of learning. She is module lead for MD5017 Biochemistry and metabolic regulation and MD6031 Heamatology and transfusion science, she also teaches regulary across other programmes including MSc Heamatology and BSc Pharmacology. Abigail has supervised research projects at undergraduate and postgraduate level, supporting students in producing high-quality research.
