Dr Amy Roberts

Biography
Dr Amy Roberts is a tutor in forensic psychology. She has a Ph.D. and a master's degree in Forensic Psychology, along with an undergraduate degree in Social Psychology. She studied for her undergraduate degree at Loughborough University, and postgraduate degrees at the University of Central Lancashire. Amy was a Research Associate at the University of Manchester before moving to the University of Chester.
Teaching and Supervision
Amy has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students on forensic psychology programmes, as well as other core psychology modules and research methods. She currently oversees the level 6 module 'Applications in Forensic Psychology: Specialist Approaches' and supervises a number of dissertation students, both undergraduate and postgraduate.
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Research interests: supporting individuals on release from prison (health, social and mental health care). Multifaceted aspects of adverse childhood experiences, with a particular emphasis on risk factors associated with child sexual exploitation.
