Biography

Before joining the University of Chester as a Senior Lecturer in 2004, Brendan had taught in both Secondary and Primary schools, specialising in English Language and Literature. Upon taking up his post with what was then the Faculty of Education, now the School of Education, Brendan taught on a wide range of modules within the BA, PGCE and Masters programmes. Subjects taught included English, Computing and Educational Theory. During this time he also developed the foreign exchange, enrchment module within the Faculty of Education, and supervised students on placement abroad. He retired as Fellow Emeritus in 2016, although still occasionally contribute to teaching in a visiting role.
