Colette Burrows
Senior Lecturer
Biography
Colette joined the University of Chester in November 2017. She is currently a senior lecturer teaching on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules provided by the School of Education in the Initial Teacher Education department across the BA (QTS) and PGCE programmes, in both Primary and Early Years; she leads the subject areas of primary science and PSHE Education. Prior to this, Colette worked as the North West Regional Development Lead for primary science with STEM Learning and as a primary science consultant, providing CPD for teachers and supporting school improvement initiatives. She is a former primary teacher, Deputy Head Teacher and Local Authority Advisory Teacher with extensive experience of working in diverse roles in primary schools for over 25 years.
Teaching and Supervision
Colette teaches across a number of modules on the undergraduate primary education BA QTS and postgraduate PGCE programmes.
