Connor Pell

Biography

Connor is a Lecturer in Forensic Psychology in the Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Society. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Chester in 2016 and earned an MSc in Investigative and Forensic Psychology from the University of Liverpool in 2017. Connor is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and a member of the Division of Psychology's Forensic and Investigative Research Group.

Teaching and Supervision

Connor leads the module Applications in Forensic Psychology: Specialist Approaches (PS6009). He also teaches Research Methods and Skills (PS4005), Forensic and Criminal Psychology (PS4019), Real-World Applications in Forensic Psychology: Project Work (PS5001), and Forensic Psychology: Detection, Detention, Treatment, and Trial (PS5002).

Research and Knowledge Exchange

Connor is a final-year PhD student. His principal research interests include investigative interviewing, offender profiling, and perceptions of crime. His doctoral thesis examines the use and effectiveness of summarising in real-world police interviews with homicide suspects.
