Biography
Dr. Diksha Chaudhary is a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Public Health, Sport, and Wellbeing at the University of Chester, United Kingdom. She brings extensive research expertise in quantitative, qualitative, and systematic review methodologies. A dedicated Public Health professional and researcher, Dr Chaudhary is committed to advancing health equality and social justice. In her previous role as a Technical Officer, Dr Chaudhary provided techno-managerial expertise and policy support to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, as well as to multilateral organizations such as USAID, UNICEF, and UNDP. Driven by a vision to promote health and well-being for all, Dr. Chaudhary adopts a solution-oriented approach to addressing complex public health challenges. Currently, Dr Chaudhary plays a pivotal role in the Masters of Public Health Programme, where she leads various modules. In her capacity as a module leader, she provides guidance to students and adeptly supervises numerous MPH research projects, ensuring their successful completion.
Teaching and Supervision
Dr. Diksha Chaudhary teaches on the Master of Public Health (MPH) and Pre-Registration Nursing programmes. She covers modules such as Theories and Principles of Public Health, Research Proposals, Extended Projects, and provides dissertation supervision to masters students. In addition, Dr. Chaudhary offers support to other modules on the programme, contributing her expertise to enhance the overall learning experience.
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Dr Chaudhary’s research interests center on maternal and child health, RMNCH+A (Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child, and Adolescent Health), continuum of care, health inequalities, and social injustice. She is a strong advocate for constructivist grounded theory research methodology and has extensive experience with qualitative, mixed-method, and systematic review approaches. Dr. Chaudhary completed her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) thesis, A Constructivist Grounded Theory Study of Pregnant Women’s Engagement with Antenatal Care Health Services in Rural India, which laid the foundation for her ongoing research. Despite the diversity of her research topics, Diksha consistently applies her findings to real-world practice, reflecting her commitment to advancing public health outcomes. Currently, she co-supervises doctoral research studies and holds the role of primary supervisor for Master’s dissertations.
