Biography
Hanaan joined Chester Medical School as a Lecturer in Haematology and Biomedical Science, bringing over 13 years of experience in working in Haematology and Blood Transfusion NHS laboratory. Over the years, her work focused on the use of Immunophenotyping by Flow Cytometry for the diagnosis of Haematological malignancies where she worked as a Senior Biomedical Scientist for 5 years leading the Flow Cytometry Service, the only one in North Wales. She also has a 7 years experience working in North Wales Stem cell Service carrying out Peripheral Blood Haemopoetic Stem cells transplant Harvests and Reinfusions where she worked in positions of PD and DI within the HTA.
Teaching and Supervision
Hanaan teaches on both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by Chester Medical School. She is module lead for MD5018 Diagnostics and Therapeutics. She also teaches across the Medical School, across levels and programmes including BSc Biomedical Sciences, MSc Biomedical Sciences, MSc Haematology.
