Biography
I have worked as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chester for nearly three years within the Advanced Practice team. For the past year I have been Programme Lead for the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Apprenticeship. As a team we have successfully taken our new programme through accreditation with NHS England, which gives our students the benefit of receiving a Digital Badge on successful completion and endorses our programme nationally. I also work in clinical practice as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, specialising in Emergency Care, with nearly 6 years experience in this role. I have been a qualified nurse for 19 years with a variety of experience in Medicine, Haematology and Emergency Medicine. This synthesis of academic and clinical roles allows me to practice against all four pillars of Advanced Practice, which benefits my students and I hugely.
