Biography

Janet is a mixed-methods researcher based in the Centre for Ageing and Mental Health. She works with colleagues in the Centre, the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society, and the wider university. Her work with the Centre focuses mainly on the health and wellbeing of older adults and encompasses a variety of relevant topics. Whilst the main focus of her work is ageing, Janet also collaborates closely with colleagues with other research interests so has been involved in a wide range of research and evaluation projects. Additionally, Janet works with colleagues out with the University, for example, Cheshire West and Chester Council public health staff, Age-friendly Cheshire West, and the voluntary sector.

Research and Knowledge Exchange

Janet’s research interests include, social isolation and loneliness, the health impact of scams, public health, the use of Mass Observation data, and service delivery by non-traditional providers.
