Jo Edgerley
Deputy Head
Biography
Jo is the Deputy Head of Practice Education & Simulated learning. Jo's role includes supporting Head of Division Kate Knight and contributing to the strategic and operational management of Practice Education. Jo is a line manager for lecturers in practice learning, practice educator facilitators and project staff. Jo works collaboratively with programme teams and practice educators to ensure quality practice placements for diverse types of learners. Jo works closely with programme teams across the division to ensure there is compliance of the required standards for the relevant regulatory bodies.
Teaching and Supervision
Jo is an experienced senior lecturer who currently teaches on pre- registration nursing programme. Jo's background is a therapeutic radiographer & she has previously taught UG & PG students across a range of subjects.
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Jo completed her MSc with a focus on support strategies for widening access students in practice placement. Jo has a keen interest to develop this research further.
