Biography

As Head of Practice Education and Simulated Learning I work collegiately across Faculty Management Group and have the academic leadership for health and social care practice and oversee the effective governance and management of practice learning and simulated education; including placement quality whilst developing the Faculty practice learning portfolio. I lead our Division including Lecturers in Practice Learning, simulation teams and project teams expanding capacity and improving quality of placements. I am also the Cheshire and Merseyside Practice Learning lead. I am a registered children’s nurse and registered teacher with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Children and Young People’s Nurse Academics UK (CYPNAUK).

Teaching and Supervision

I teach across all levels of the pre-registration and post-registration programmes. I teach and facilitate simulated practice within the Faculty.
