Lynne Connolly

Biography

Lynne Connolly is a Senior Lecturer in Photography within the department of Art, Design and Innovation. She also has a strong commitment to adult learning, education, and wellbeing. Through the use of book arts, photography and wellbeing workshops she is involved with local communities in the wider Cheshire area. This work also extends to social and arts groups in Northern Ireland and connects with current research interests.

Teaching and Supervision

Lynne Connolly is a Senior Lecturer in Photography within the department of Art, Design and Innovation. She teaches photography, and book arts across all levels and also runs book arts sessions within the department. Lynne is also a disability link tutor, helping to support students and refine provision to support the learning environment. She has further expertise in arts and wellbeing, mindful photography, and runs workshops in these subjects.

Research and Knowledge Exchange

Research interests include the use of book arts, memory and narrative. Research and project work oscillate in and out of photography, book arts, stitchography and wellbeing, and aims to give presence to that which might otherwise be unspoken, and with a modicum of creativity and even humour… Lynne has exhibited widely in the UK, Ireland, and US. She continues to facilitate workshops in the above areas particularly related to mental health and wellbeing, thus developing practice based research.
