Lauren Coombs

Biography

Lauren is the Deputy Programme Leader of the Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies. She is the Module Leader for ‘Advanced Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy for Complex Problems’. She contributes to teaching, marking and moderation on all modules of the course and is a Personal Academic Tutor and Clinical Supervisor. She also delivers NHS Talking Therapies Supervisor Training commissioned by Health Education England. Lauren is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has accreditation as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies.

Teaching and Supervision

Lauren has a particular interest in teaching evidence based cognitive behavioural therapy protocols, risk assessment and management, and clinical supervision skills.

Research and Knowledge Exchange

Lauren has a particular interest in clinical supervision of Cognitive Behavioural Therapists within NHS Talking Therapies Services.
