Megan Cowan

Biography

Megan is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Chester. She first joined the School of Law has an undergraduate student, graduating with a first class LLB Law degree. She later returned to the School of Law as a Learning Facilitator and Postgraduate student, completing an LLM and graduating with a distinction. She is now working towards a PhD. As well as teaching, Megan has a number of other responsibilities in the School of Law. She assists with pro bono and community engagement activities, outreach work, and supports international students within the school.

Teaching and Supervision

Megan is the module leader for English Legal System and Method and Social Justice. Megan is particularly interested in ensuring students have a range of skills to support them in their academic journey but also their future. She has also taught on Tort Law, Contract Law, and EU Law.

Research and Knowledge Exchange

Megan is engaged in research in the area of discrimination and equality law. Specifically, the contentious area of employer liability for Third Party Harassment.
