Dr Maeve Marmion
Associate Dean of Education and Student Success
Biography
As Associate Dean for Education and Student Success in the Faculty of Science, Business and Enterprise Dr Marmion focuses on supporting the quality and enhancement of our academic programmes and ensuring a high quality and rewarding student experience. Providing academic leadership in support of teaching, learning and assessment activity, Dr Marmion is Chair of Faculty Education and Student Experience Committee and related Quality and Governance Subcommittee. She is Deputy Chair of the University Student Voice and Experience Committee, Chair of the University International Student Working Group, and member of the University Academic Leadership Group and Senior Leadership Teams.
Teaching and Supervision
Dr Marmion's teaching focusing on the global and ethical dimensions of sustainable tourism and destination management. She supervises research for students at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. Teaching expertise includes marketing, events management, and services management.
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Dr Marmion's research interests are in the fields of heritage management, tourism, wellbeing, and ethical and sustainable governance. Additionally, in the areas of student success and pedagogy in Higher Education.
