I joined the University of Chester in August 2024 as a Clinical Skills Technician, bringing experience from the NHS, emergency services, civil service, and several universities. Previously, I worked as a Specialist Simulation Technician at Liverpool University Hospitals, supporting advanced trauma, critical care, and clinical skills training for learners from medical students to consultants.

At Chester Medical School, I help facilitate clinical skills, simulation, and communication sessions for our student doctors. My role includes managing simulation spaces, supporting realistic scenario-based learning, and maintaining equipment and resources. I’m also involved in integrating emerging technologies like AR/VR and AI into teaching. One exciting recent development is “The Hub,” a collaborative space where students and staff can engage with innovative simulation and learning tools.

My areas of interest include medical simulation, trauma-based scenarios, moulage, and the use of XR technologies in education. I’m passionate about creating realistic, engaging learning environments and supporting students to get the most from their training.

Regionally, I serve as a North West Champion for the ASPiH Technical Special Interest Group, working to enhance simulation-based education and build networks across the UK.

Outside of work, I enjoy walking, crafting, and anything tech-related.
