Biography
Mr Roy Thompson is an experienced Nurse Educator with experience in the planning, accreditation and delivery of health care awards with various educational institutions and professional organizations. Roy is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the fields of Adult and Mental Health Nursing and is a recorded Lecturer / Practice Educator with the NMC. In addition, he is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is confident and competent in the mapping of curricula to multiple agency requirements in order to ensure appropriate accreditation with University and professional awarding bodies specifications. Roy has worked with the NMC on projects relating to the testing of overseas nurses to enable them to join the register of nurses in the United Kingdom. Roy has a varied and wide ranging experience of the Quality Assurance process used within Higher and Professional Education. With over 20 years of educational practice, Roy undertakes all roles allocated to him diligently and with good grace and can be relied upon to produce a high standard of work required in a timely fashion.
