Dr Sally West

Biography

Sally is Senior Lecturer in English. She completed her BA, MA and PhD at the University of Liverpool. She joined the University of Chester in 2006.

Teaching and Supervision

Sally has taught modules in English literature from the Renaissance to the present day. She specialises in nineteenth-century literature, especially Romanticism, and in crime fiction.

Research and Knowledge Exchange

Sally has presented papers and published in the area of Romantic Literature and literary influence. More recently her research interests have shifted to Crime Fiction. She is currently working on the significance of space and place in the work of Patricia Highsmith.
