Biography
Shabna Basha is Senior Lecturer and Occupational Health Pathway Lead of the Division of Public Health, Sport and Wellbeing in the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society at the University of Chester, UK.
Teaching and Supervision
Shabna Basha is a Senior Lecturer. She continues to teach across a range of subject areas including Occupational Health (Specialist Practice), Risk Management in the workplace (WBL), Health and Safety, Public Health Prevention, Promotion & Protection and Health Improvement & Wellbeing. She provides dissertation supervision to Master of Public Health students, fostering their academic development within the field.
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Shabna's research interests encompass a diverse array of topics within the fields of occupational health and public health. Her research interest areas encompass Blood-borne Viruses, Communicable Diseases and Public Health, Health Promotion, Workplace Health and Safety and Management of Occupational Hazards. She is a mixed-methods researcher, her methodological proficiency is exemplified by her Master's dissertation, where she proficiently employed quantitative techniques such as the Chi-squared (X²) test, utilising the statistical analysis tool SPSS.
