Biography
I have worked as an academic at the University of Chester since 2013, primarily within the children's nursing team. From entering academia in 2006 I have held a range of roles/repsonsibilities, including Senior Lecturer, Placement Lead, Cohort Lead, Programme Lead, Deputy Head of Department and Field recruitment lead. Outside of the instititution I have considerable experience as an external examiner, and mentor new external examiners. In addition I work as an external academic expert for revalidation and new programme approval events.
Teaching and Supervision
Teaching on a range of pre-and post-registration nursing programmes, Specialist Practice (District Nursing). Clinical skills teaching, clinical placement support, Academic Assessor. Masters supervision (public health), extended project and dissertation teaching.
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Clinical holding of children. Widening participation and recruitment. Placement support and development.
