Biography
Tao is an experienced Senior Lecturer at the University of Chester, bringing 15+ years of experience in the UK Higher Education sector. Tao is highly analytical and has a proven track record in income generation through programme development and overseas student recruitment. Tao is a Chartered Institute of Marketing(CIM) examiner and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Tao specialises in quality assurance and postgraduate programme management, with extensive management experience in overseas partnerships in Asian markets. Tao developed a substantial portfolio of external institutional approvals/course validations and examinerships and delivered several consultancy and enterprise projects. Before joining academia, Tao gained practical experience in the market research industry working on recycling and waste minimisation projects.
Teaching and Supervision
Tao's main teaching areas are marketing and strategic management.
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Currently, Tao is undertaking his PhD under the supervision of Professor Julieanna Powell-Turner and Professor Kurt Allman, investigating the impacts of CSR Information Processing Variables on Chinese Consumer Response to Luxury Fashion products and Luxury Fashion experience.
