Biography

Timo Obergöker is a specialist of contemporary French and Francophone literature and culture and he holds a PhD from Nancy/Potsdam and an HDR from the Université de Clermont-Auvergne. After 10 years spent in Higher Education in Germany, he joined the University of Chester in 2013.

Teaching and Supervision

Prof Obergöker teaches French modules at all levels. Some of the core modules of his teaching activities include: FR 4121 Introduction to Francophone Studies FR 5000 Encountering Contemporary France FR 6302 Advanced French and Francophone Studies He also teaches German, notably Business German and Austro-Swiss Studies Moreover, he teaches Cultural Studies (both UG and PG).
