This dynamic, interactive, and professional course places person-centred care at the heart of its practice.
This course provides you with an equally weighted dual field qualification in both Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing. In Years 1-3 you will complete 360 credits whilst following the BN (Hons) Adult Nursing course, learning to deliver person-centred care for people over 18 years of age. This will prepare you to become a fully registered Adult Nurse. You will learn how to assess, plan and evaluate the needs of the patient with complex acute and long-term illness, promote health and wellbeing, and communicate effectively with professional colleagues and service users. You will also learn to become an adaptable, flexible practitioner who will be able to lead care, supervise others and work in a demanding and rapidly changing environment.
In Year 4, you will complete 120 Level 7 credits in your second field of nursing (Mental Health Nursing). Our Integrated Master’s in Nursing course will equip you to be a nurse of the future and provide you with the knowledge and skills required to provide care for people within two of the four disciplines. It gives you the unique opportunity to gain wider and more in-depth experiences of nursing to meet the changing and challenging healthcare environment.
The NHS Learning Support Fund provides additional funding for eligible healthcare students studying nursing. Further details can be found on the NHS Learning Support Fund page on our website.
This course provides you with the opportunity to learn across two of our learning sites.
