Therefore, this should safeguard the rights of individuals, guaranteeing access to appropriate 'reasonable adjustments' to enable their full participation within education and beyond without discrimination.  

This short course examines The Equality Act (2010) in more detail, with reference to the definition of disability and the different types of disability discrimination. The course will explore how 'reasonable adjustments' can be implemented to ensure all organisations are adhering to The Equality Act (2010).

Entry Requirements

This Postgraduate Level short course will benefit anyone with an interest in gaining an in-depth understanding of the Equality Act (2010) in relation to disability.

You will ideally have:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience working in either a formal or informal education setting.

If you do not meet the academic requirements detailed above but have at least 3 years of relevant work experience and have evidence of recent study or professional development (to demonstrate an ability to study at Level 7) we may consider your application.

In addition, for international students: Minimum requirement IELTS level 6.5
