Part-time Language Classes

The University of Chester is delighted to be able to offer several language taster courses and evening classes, specially designed to be suitable for all learners. We warmly welcome members of the public to join us, as well as our University staff and students. All our part-time language classes will help you to unlock new cultures, enhance your communication skills, and broaden your global perspective.

Our taster courses are an ideal way of finding out if learning a language is for you, and will satisfy your curiosity about other cultures whilst unlocking new listening, reading, writing and oral language skills. These courses run for six weeks in total and provide a friendly and fun introduction to the language of your choice.

Our evening classes are designed help you to build on existing knowledge and offer a rich and immersive learning experience. Here, you can join a vibrant community of learners, explore the diversity of cultures, and embark on your personal language journey, studying with us for a period of 24 weeks. Whether you're hoping to build new friendships, have exciting travel experiences, pursue rewarding career opportunities, or work towards studying an undergraduate degree in Modern Languages, these evening classes are for you.
