Small class sizes and personal attention from established, professional and student-centred staff are the hallmark of postgraduate study within Sport and Exercise Sciences. Our links with the sporting community locally, nationally and internationally keep our courses fresh and ensure graduates have the skills needed for employment.

Facilities available to you may include: well-equipped laboratories for the study of performance, psychology and biomechanics; a floodlit 3G synthetic grass pitch; a floodlit AstroTurf pitch; a running track; a 25m heated swimming pool; fitness suites; dance studio/gym; a sports hall; squash courts; and rugby, hockey and football pitches.

Our research activity can be divided into two distinct groups – Sociology of Sport and Exercise and Applied Sport and Exercise Sciences – which focus on advancing knowledge through high-quality research that is of benefit to numerous recipients.
